APITube News API

Search news from 300,000+ sources worldwide. Each article includes people and companies mentioned in the text, sentiment, IPTC categories, topics, industries and readability scores. Send requests to https://api.apitube.io with your API key.

Use this page to find the guide you need, or see Endpoints for the full endpoint list.

Your first request

bash
curl -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  "https://api.apitube.io/v1/news/everything?title=bitcoin&per_page=3"

Get your key at apitube.io. Send it in the X-API-Key header as shown above. Authentication also covers Authorization: Bearer and the api_key URL parameter.

The response lists articles in results. Each article has an href with a link to the original page. See API Response Structure for all fields.

API basics

A few basics apply across the API:

Use the same filters across article endpoints. /v1/news/everything supports all filters. Other article endpoints add a specific selection: /v1/news/category/{taxonomy}/{category_id} searches one category, and /v1/news/top-headlines limits results by source quality.

Entity filters find a specific person, company, brand or place. For example, organization.name=Tesla finds articles about the company, rather than every use of the word. To find an entity ID, enter part of its name in the autocomplete endpoints.

Each request uses points. A standard request costs 1 point. The prompt parameter adds 2 points, and fact-check costs 5 points. Check your remaining points for free with /v1/balance. Your rate limit sets how many requests you can send per minute.
